Francine “Frankie” Rubio, a Southern California native, graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in 2016. Frankie majored in English and minored in Education, Inquiry, and Justice. Beginning her Georgetown experience as a Georgetown Community Scholar, she cultivated long-lasting relationships and ignited her passion for education.  A GSP student herself, Frankie took a leadership role working as a Communication Intern and a peer mentor. She was also a part of other education initiatives such as Jumpstart and assistant teaching in local DC schools. After pursuing her commitment to student service with Scripps College Academy and California Girls State, she took many formal and informal opportunities to counsel students in getting to–and through–college. Most recently, served her home community in Rialto, California as a substitute teacher. She has now excitedly returned to the Hilltop to pursue her dream job of advising GSP students!  She also manages GSP’s honorary member program as well as serves on Georgetown’s Undocumented Student Task Force. For her, it’s a true pleasure to serve the tenacious and phenomenal students of GSP.
