Advising and Mentorship
At the core of our work, we aim to center the student experience. We provide ongoing individual, personalized support. GSP advisers typically meet with GSP students in one‐on-one appointments for in-depth concerns or problems that may arise. For quick questions, we always encourage students to reach out to gsphoyas@geogetown.edu to see if a fellow well-informed GSPeep who works at the front desk can answer your inquiry and to be referred to the appropriate staff member if not!
GSP 101
An amazing advising program we have curated for first year students is GSP 101! This program consists of group advising sessions that are specifically tailored for first-year GSP students held by GSP staff members and GSP upperclass students. The goals of GSP 101 are to get students acquainted with GSP and its resources in particular and to set students up for success throughout their time at Georgetown with tangible skills.
Mentorship Programs
We have two mentorship programs for all students. Our Peer Mentor Program is available to students at the onset of students’ matriculation. The Alumni Mentor Program is available for sophomores and above!
