Undocu- and DACA-mented Student Services
Undocumented Students
Jennifer Crewalk, Associate Director for Undocumented Student Services in CMEA, is an amazing colleague with years of experience supporting students. Alongside other trusted colleagues, Jenn helps coordinate resources for undocumented students shared in the website below! In addition to staff support, students can join groups such as HFIR to be in community with other students!
- Undocumented Student Resources
- These and other resources can also be found in our social services sheet, within the Undocumented Students/Immigration Tab!
DACA-mented Students
We believe that we must consistently champion for both our undocumented and “DACA-mented” (members of our community under the protection of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and on a temporary protected status) students’ rights to education. We stand with and support undocumented students and “DACA-mented” students, and their families.
Independent Students
Independent students often face many hardships without clear direction on what processes there are in place for them and what resources are available specifically for them. In addition to our housing initiative below, we have centralized some resources for independent students in our social services sheet. Visit the Independent Student Resources Tab to check it out!
Bridge Housing
Bridge housing accommodations are provided for independent students or those who may have housing insecurity during campus closures. The students must meet the strict criteria outlined to ensure the resource is available to those with true need. More details on the Bridge Housing Initiative, which is comprised of a committee of various campus partners including GSP, can be found on their website.
Military-connected Students
Georgetown University’s Veterans Office serves military-connected students as they apply to, attend and advance beyond Georgetown. The Veterans Office connects military-connected students with the resources they need to successfully transition from military service to classroom to career.
