How to Join

Joining the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) means more than making an annual contribution to undergraduate financial aid.

By making a gift, you join GSP's community of alumni, parents, and friends. Our supporters are often mentors for scholarship recipients, and the students take advantage of learning and networking opportunities they receive at local GSP receptions and on-campus events. (Interested in learning more about mentoring too? Please contact Melissa Foy: foym@georgetown.edu)

GSP supports Georgetown's twin policies of need-blind admissions and meeting full financial need. The program also enables Georgetown to offer more competitive financial aid packages, improving the quality and diversity of the student body and allowing Georgetown to compete with peer institutions for the best students.

Each graduating class supports a specific group of scholarship recipients. Parents & Friends also support a group of students and currently make the largest contribution to the program, and have supported over 40 students!

Because of the University’s 1789 Scholarship Imperative and the emphasis placed on scholarship by GSP’s loyal supporters, now your gift to the Georgetown Fund directly supports GSP Students whose lives have been changed by this opportunity!

GSP is committed to making a Georgetown education possible for all students, regardless of income. Thank you for joining us in this most critical effort!
