Joining the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP) means more than making an annual contribution to support undergraduate financial aid. Your gift to the Georgetown Fund as part of the 1789 Scholarship Imperative supports GSP Students, whose lives have been changed by this opportunity. You also join GSP's community of alumni, parents, and friends. Our supporters are often mentors for scholarship recipients, and the students take advantage of each learning and networking opportunity they receive at local GSP receptions and on-campus events. Together, we represent every face of Georgetown and are committed to supporting one another as well as the generations of Hoyas to come. Thank you for joining us in this most critical effort.

Giving Opportunities
The Georgetown Scholarship Program supports Georgetown's twin policies of need-blind admissions and meeting full financial need. In addition, the program enables Georgetown to offer more competitive financial aid packages, improving the quality and diversity of the student body and allowing Georgetown to compete with peer institutions for the best students.
To reach the $25,000 required to support one GSP student's scholarship each year, you may contribute that entire amount yourself, or we will group your gift with your classmates' gifts to GSP to reach the scholarship amount. Each increment of $25,000 funds another GSP Scholar's award. All GSP gifts count toward class and reunion totals, as well as to the Georgetown gift club.
Each graduating class supports a specific group of scholarship recipients. Parents & Friends also support a group of students and currently make the largest contribution to the program, and have supported over 40 students!
GSP VIP Level ($5,000 or more, per year)
Your annual gift of $5,000 is combined with classmate's gifts to provide GSP scholarship support to students.
Benefits include invitations to various GSP receptions, a quarterly newsletter updating you on our students, and collective support of a GSP Scholarship.
GSP Leadership Level ($25,000 or more, per year)
A leadership level gift of $25,000 supports one GSP student's scholarship each year. Benefits include invitations to regional receptions in your city, a quarterly newsletter updating you on our students, and full support of one GSP student's scholarship.
Endowed Support for the Georgetown Scholarship Program ($100,000 or more, payable over three to five years)
You can endow a GSP student's entire scholarship with a gift of $500,000, payable over three to five years.
You can endow a GSP student's entire scholarship with a gift of $500,000, payable over three to five years. An endowed scholarship provides substantial long-term support with income from the invested fund used annually as scholarship awards. Gifts are typically named after the donor and his or her preferred class year, such as "The John Smith Class of 1963 Georgetown Scholarship." In addition to funding long-term GSP Scholarships, Endowment Level Members receive all benefits of VIP and Leadership Level Members.
In recognition of those who have supported GSP prior to the 1789 Scholarship Imperative (before FY10), our early supporters will likely be grandfather'ed in at the previous levels for at least the first year of the transition or for those who are currently in a pledge. We thank them for making scholarship a university priority and getting us to where we are today.
